Achievement does not synchronize on my profile - Part 2

So this is a continuation of a previous topic made by Musquito, which can be seen through the link below.

Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

As a summary, at a certain point in February, Microsoft were having server issues, and any achievements unlocked on Windows Phone were not synchronised with your gamertag. The solution that the support team forwarded to Miss Quinzel was to either wipe your
phone, or to buy a second device, as there is supposedly nothing on their end that they can do, due to 'not having received the data on their end'.

Had all games had their saves backed up online, and had none of the Xbox branded games ever been delisted, this would have not been as big of an issue. However, there are a fairly large number (and a growing list) of Xbox branded games which are being delisted
and completely removed from the marketplace, meaning that it is impossible to redownload them. Some people have unfortunately had achievements on these game not synchronise, making it
completely impossible to earn them ever again. Others have had their achievement progress synchronise with a cloud save that they cannot remove (namely Gameloft games, like Uno with Friends), and so they cannot re-earn these achievements, even
if they wanted to.

As someone who was lucky enough to only have this affected on Make It Rain, which neither uses cloud saves and is not currently delisted, I still find this solution to be completely unacceptable, and going by the huge number of replies on that particular
thread (one the largest in this section of the forum), as well as angry members posting in the various TrueAchievements and XboxAchievements forums, it is clearly obvious that I am not the only one who feels it almost insulting that the support team gave us
such a rude work around to an issue not caused by us, and had the cheek to mark the thread as
"Answered", which has in turn led the support team to just drop the case.

This case needs to be brought up again. Not with workarounds, but with a solution to be provided, especially since this was not caused by user error, but something from Microsoft's side. Update the games app on the phone to include a 'resync' button,
or 'clear cache', or something. But telling us to wipe or buy a new phone is not a solution we are willing to accept as an answer.

Did a hard reset. Did not work for the Eradicator achievement in Tetris Blitz (clear 100,000 lines). In fact, it still says I have 114,000 lines cleared, but the orange progress bar is at zero LOL. Mind you this is with me also having long ago unlocked the
other achievement for HAVING ALL OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS. Go figure. I will post some screenshots later, too frustrated now.

Hope some of you don't give up. I pursue stuff like this to the end.

So when is an actual fix coming. The so called "verified answer" is not an answer. It doesn't fix anything, its nothing more than pure laziness by Microsoft, in an attempt to get people to spend even more money on a defective product.

Everyone should just hit the "moderate" button on the "verified answer" and flag it as spam/abuse.

 

I agree, that a real solution would be the right thing to do. I have one achievement that did not unlock, and it is completely obvious it should have. I even had a Microsoft representative say that the achievement should have popped, yet they can do nothing
about it. That doesn't make sense. There needs to be some way to manually pop achievements for people who deserve them. We went through the phases, we submitted a survey. Verify our achievement(s) and unlock it(them) for us.

 

Here is my problem. I completed Halo: Spartan Assault on W8 and got all achievments. Back to 360, when I push the Xbox Guide button and go left to select achievements, the list only shows that I have 24 of 25 unlocked with 240 GS. But when I go to the game
and select Spartan Assault it to see each individual achievement, it shows 25 of 25 which is correct. I've already tried recovering profile, waiting a few days, re-installing game, nothing works.

Smartglass shows 24 but right underneath lists 25. If anyone can help, this is really annoying to me I look at the list constantly and it aggravates me to see incorrect info that I can't correct. Thanks.

 

I just got my problem solved, dont know if it was a self heal or one of my posts on other threads, anyway thanks to whoever did this

 

I'm also interested in finding a solution to this mess. Count me in.

 

This seems to be happening again!

Jedi Master achievement in Angry Birds: Star Wars. Got it about two hours ago on 2015-05-14 and It does not show up in the Xbox Games app on the phone. Refreshed the list several times to no avail.

 

Ignore my previous msg... I refreshed again after 20 minutes and it's now there...

 

Just happened to me with 4 achievements in GeoDefense Swarm. All four are showing unlocked in the game but nothing on my Xbox Profile on the phone or on Xbox.Com...

Please actually fix it this time guys!

New achievements now missing on top of the 20+ I can't regain.

Angry Birds (WP) (Delisted) won't sync a single achievement. To gain achievements requires being online to sync progress. Guess what... 100% broken now. Please fix this!

I'll use a 2nd phone to see what I can get but this is getting ridiculous. I really think we are owed something in compensation for our lost time at the very least here...

 

There might be cases of this happening from today onwards, however this thread is more for those people who were affected my February's scenario.

If you have any achievements not showing up on your gamer tag after 48 hours, then post here. I would rather this topic didn't get flooded with people that had their achievements show up after an hour, and would like to keep it focused on February's mess.

 

Just had two achievements that I earned yesterday not pop up when I check today. Not to mention all of the achievements that had previously not been properly recorded.

Based on the previous tread, noted above, which I often posted in and checked, until it became nauseating, we were being told that this issue was no longer a problem and would not effect achievements going forward. However, that has not been the case. Would
appreciate some actual help and consideration from xbox and microsoft. I have been thoroughly disappointed to date.

 

I understand this thread is for those previously affected but we're now having the exact same problem that you guys were having back in February. We're all having achievements "Unlocking" in-game but not syncing. And it's not an isolated case because if
you check any WP game on TrueAchievements nobody has unlocked an achievement today and there are comments popping up all over about Phone achievements no longer unlocking.

The guy above who got his angry birds space achievement to appear was perhaps a lucky coincidence because these achievements have been "Locked" still for me for over 6 hours now and across two different games. So it seems whatever *** people over in February
has returned again now.

 

Just a note to help troubleshoot this - new error message I have been getting lately.

"There's a problem with the Xbox service or your connection. Try again later."

I'm typing on that connection and play my X1 and 360s with no issue. I suggest there's an issue with the Xbox service.
