    I’ve got the Acer VG270UP 27in 144Hz IPS 1440p Gaming Monitor with my Xbox series X and when I go on the display settings it says that I can enable HDR and also auto HDR but when I go to the TV details page it says that HDR is only working for video and is not enabled for gaming, i’ve turned on HDR in my monitor settings. I’ve seen some people have kind of the same problem but not sure how they fixed there end, is there anything I can do to fix this or is my monitor just not proper HDR and the console isn’t picking it up (even though it says I’m able to do it for video-TV/film)

    I had the same / similar issue with my old 4K 60hz none HDR / HDMI 2.0 monitor when watching movies and some times in games with the Series X,

    As soon as i upgraded my monitor to a 4K 144hz monitor that has HDR / HDMI 2.1 ports, i no longer had this problem,

    I'm not sure what the problem is, but my guess is that the HDMI 2.1 port on Series X doesn't play well with HDMI 2.0 port of monitors, or it's the Series X trying to force HDR on, even if the monitor does not have / support HDR and the HDR in Series X menu's is turned off.

    Thanks for your help Renalto. So my monitor supports hdr600. Can the Xbox not recognize that, and it only works the hdr with displays that support hdr 10? I’m using the official ultra high speed hdmi cable that comes with the series x, but the monitor only has a 2.0 outlet. Thanks

    HDR Looks Terrible With Some Games on Xbox Series X

    The monitor is Acer Nitro XF243Y PBMIIPRX. The TV is the Samsung TU7000.

    According to the specs, both support HDR.
