    Account won't use gametag


    The account setup refuses to use my game tag Jayadub, instead saddling me with Jayadub-anahe349930277291k@)@)@# or something equally as stupid as when I ask to use my game tag the page times out or crashes back to Edge. When I log in to Profile it won't
    allow me to change my name to Jayadub because...….wait for it...….It is taken..... Instead I changed it to something more useful. What is the issue here and how do I get back to the original page to continue trying to use my game tag?

    Xbox is telling me to get Gold even though I have it?

    Another way to attempt to fix this, is to remove the account from the xbox in settings->accounts-> remove accounts. After that is removed login with that gametag again to force the console to fetch your live subscription data. In rare cases your Xbox account and live account will lose sync.

    Two issues with Gold

    I upgraded from Xbox live to Xbox live gold, but it doesn't show up next to my gametager. Also, is there any way my daghter can use Xbox live from my account now that the family pack is no longer an option? Or, can her gametager use my account?

    Your tag shows up correctly here in the forums. When you go to
    account.xbox.com     > profile, what tag does it show there?

    It doesn't show correctly on answers.microsoft.com which is where I am posting this from. The old forums still show me as Jayadub in Edge.

    I have tried logging out and logging in again among other things.

    The very first time I logged in to Results in Xbox - Microsoft Community from the Preview Task it asked me if I wanted to be jayadub-qwerty 2900489-oornnfm,i or use my game tag Jayadub.

    Those two choices were all that were offered so I said game tag please, clicked finish and waited...waited...waited...waited boom Edge crashes.

    Open the page again get the same choice operation timed out, did it again and waited then refreshed the page and it said hey jayadub-qwerty 100392994-wmbntb Welcome.

    Can't get back to that landing page and it now won't let me change the screen name on answers.microsoft.com to my game tag Jayadub because the name is already taken...by me.

    So I am now XboxForumTooStupidToUseGametag

    Can not transfer my game tag to another email

    I have the same problem. Says the same thing to me. I want to transfer my gametag that I use to account that is linked to my windows phone. The problem is that I accidentally made an unwanted gametag to that account. So I made new account to move the unwanted
    gametag to so I can change the good gametag to my WP account.

    but when I try to change the GT it says the same error message as it says to outrunhook. What shall I do?

    Access to Minecraft after accout migration

    Its impossible to log in using Gametag.

    To log in user need to use email\password - for MJ account

    OR e-mail\pass from MS account

    Gametag as username could be used only if accont was registered before 2012. My account was done a year later - in 2013.
