Account will not re-download onto Xbox 360

My roommate's Xbox 360 has several accounts on it. All but one are for his children so they have personal settings on some games. His one that he uses for purchases has been encountering problems whenever attempting to download it. When entering the email
and password correctly, it gives an error screen with the code "8007045D" at the end. The message says something is wrong with the credentials, but that makes no sense because I logged into the email with them and the console even recognized the gamertag before
giving the error message.

The console has also has been running slow. Boot is slow, home menu is slow. We've even cleared the cache several times. For some reason, there's a service alert as well. I checked online and MS said everything was fine, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

I know I am a little late to this but couple other things.

1. Make sure his password is not longer than 16 characters.

360s including the emulator on the One does not like passwords longer than 16 characters so if it is change it to something less than 16 characters.

2. If he has 2 step verification turned on either turn it off or use the App password when it asks for the password.

I go to Storage in Settings and select Profiles in the removable USB storage. When I select the profile and choose move, it tells me there was a problem with performing the action. No error code.

I'm not sure how you would tell if it was properly or improperly stored. It's there, and I can sign in with it. His profile also shows up when I insert the thumb drive into my Xbox.

All of that has already been done. I had to format it to use it on the console in the first place and I was trying to move the account from the flash drive because I wasn't able to get it on the console. The account was already deleted from the console
when I tried moving it off of the flash drive.

Could you format the USB (FAT 32) and go over the process to configure the USB to use with the Xbox 360.

On your console, download your friends profile onto the USB drive.

Make sure your friends profile has been removed (delete profile only) from his/her console, and try, once again, to move the profile from the USB storage device to HDD.

Let us know how it goes and we'll go from there.

I turned off my console and removed the hard drive. When I turned the Xbox back on I was prompted to do an update, but it would not allow me to do so to the system or flash drive so I restarted the process with the hard drive inserted. When trying
to download the profile to the flash drive this time, I got an 80151911 error.

I looked up the status code and was told there could be three problems.

1. Problem with Live. Services are up, though.

2. Problem with my network setup. The only problem that came up was the NAT set to strict which affects microphones and such, so I'm not sure that's it.

3. Files are corrupt. I just checked everything and nothing is corrupt.

Tried the hard drive from my console in his. Didn't download the update the first time, but it did it properly the second time. Downloaded his profile to the flash drive. His gold is back, as well as his pins and games. I turned off the console and switched
hard drives. Now the only problem is that I can't move his profile off of my flash drive. Not as big of a deal, but would still like to solve that if possible.

Could you describe in more detail how you try to move the profile from USB to HDD. Do you receive an error code? If so, post up the error code, or message.

Could you go into storage and select the USB and make sure the gamer profile has been properly stored on this unit.
