Hello my name is [Mod removed] or MERITED HELL My account was hacked last week and fraudulent charges where made but we resolved this with you guys. now that i have the account back it got banned 2 days later until 12/31/9999. I believe this is because
of the guy who hacked my account. please respond asap so we can get this ban removed. contact me at [Mod removed]

people don't need to change email address when compromised, they need to change password and make sure they have proper security... that includes not using passwords on more than one service, if one service is compromised all those details are sold.

Someone in another country will pop up with it, even if it takes years to happen. My skype password took approximately 4 years from compromise to have someone log in and use it.

This app makes you click approve when logging into websites, and it's instant once you click "accept" the website will load in normal.

Any devices that don't work with the app like xbox 360 will have you go to website once to create a password (it will generate a password that isn't easy) and you use that on those devices to login with your normal user name.

Last year almost 1 billion got paid out. That was a huge jump from 2015 where only 32 million was paid out. With a jump like that Im sure it will grow even more.

 

If you are certain your account was compromised you will need to contact phone support and open an Unauthorized Access complaint. I am assuming you never open this complaint as you said it was last week. The investigation they run will take more than 1 week
to look into and usually 3-4 week range. They can see all ISP who were accessing your account as well as messages sent or received.

You will need to file an Unauthorized Access case by the number above or by chatting with them at
support.xbox.com/contact-us

When they escalate this case for you, they will most likely ask for information (please only tell them this and please to not submit it on the forums)

1. Your console ID (they can also check what console the account was first recovered to)

2. Console Serial number (they may ask for this too)

3. Your best contact e-mail and telephone number (so they can contact you with the out come)

Microsoft takes compromised accounts very seriously, they typically can take from 3-7 days for the investigation, but sometimes it can be a tiny bit faster

NOTE: IF YOU NO LONGER HAVE THE CONSOLE THE ACCOUNT WAS FIRST RECOVERED TO AND FONT HAVE THAT INFORMATION DO NOT WORRY, THEY HAVE OTHER METHODS TO DETERMINE ACCOUNT OWNERSHIP.
