Account under attack by hacker

Good morning guys,

As of yesterday morning my account has not been able to connect to any multiplayer part of any game. After a couple games of my absoulte favorite backwards compatible game, Modern Warfare 3, i came across some guy who was clearly using hacks to win. I called
him out on it and after giving his whole team a hard time without hacks, he began reading my IP adress and my location to me out loud in the lobby. Soon after, he said “you wont even make it through the next game” and thats when the internet to my whole house
shut off. After a quick reset, i was able to connect back to xbox live and load videos/movies like normal but when i go to play any game on multipayer, i get a “network connection lost” message on each game ive tried. This is the account i grew up with and
learned to love the xbox community from, ive had it for 7+ years and it would be a total heartbreak for me to have to let it go along with all my hardwork on every game ive played on. Ive talked to support already but they told me they could not do anything
further than switch my email and password for me. Literally any information would be helpful. Thanks

Thats what i was thinking. Other people in the lobby were also saying out loud that they were reporting him but i was thinking how nobody would really care due to how old the game is.

I also appreciate the amazing feedback from everyone and will take everbodys advice on tackling this issue. I will try to keep updated on the status of my connection as well.

Be sure to block and report the gamer try to be descriptive in your report. Would not want this happening to others.

Hi Zxuq,

Not sure what the enforcement will do. Usually with mods and hacks in game that is handled by the developer mostly. As this is an older game, they do not monitor it, like they will Black ops 4. I mean the developers have to be aware of all the mods and hacks
on the older games as they been there a while on multiple call of duty games.

It doesn't matter if it's a new game or a backwards compatible game. If they do something that violates the code of conduct/terms of service, they can be punished. However, since DDoS attacks are done through the internet and not Live, they would only
be able to take action if he said or did something through Live that violates those rules. The enforcement team would not be able to see any evidence of the attack on their end since it is not done through Live.
