    [/quote]They do say that, but that's against forum policy. Apparently they know nothing of how the forums work. Besides, there are millions of Xbox users. What are the odds that someone who reads this runs into the exact same person and actually memorized
    his gamertag.

    Swapping accounts

    I am trying to move this gamertag over to my main email but there is an account on my main email that has been around for years but when I try to switch it it says We can't swap your account right now go look at xbox.com/accountswap

    So when I go there I find this

    You can move a gamertag to a different Microsoft account only once every 30 days.

    • This includes new gamertags downloaded from Xbox Live.
    Now does this "new gamertags" count as one that I downloaded just now even though it was made forever ago?

    I would prefer to not have to wait a month before I can have my own account again but I could stomach it if need be.

    Edit: I realize now that I have made a mistake by changing my account to a separate email so I will be waiting a month no matter what now.

    P.S. No edit button? or is that because this account is technically not the same account?

    Hey there Vay!

    Your stats are attached to your Xbox LIVE Profile, not your Microsoft Account. So if you switch your gamertag over to another Microsoft Account, you will still have the same stats. The only way you would not have the same stats is if you where to create a
    new profile and use that profile. :)

    You can change the Microsoft account that is associated with your Xbox LIVE gamertag. Here’s how:

    Sign in using your Xbox LIVE gamertag.

    Go to Settings and select Account.

    Scroll right to Your Information and select Account Security.

    Select Change Windows Live ID.
