Account Swap

I've come to notice quite a lot of forum posts regarding this without a solution so I've come to ask for help myself.

I've been trying to swap my gamertag from my old email address to my new and currently on usage email. I would not ask for this if not because the NEED of my Xbox Live account to download Xbox related games for my Windows Phone.

I first tried over a month ago, and I got the very annoying "Sorry, We can't change your email right now". It just doesn't say what kind of error, it's like a "go-to-hell" kind of message. I thought that it was that I just recently downloaded some paid content
for my Xbox so I waited for a month, a month of a very boring windows phone, so I could finally download some good games for it and right now I tried to swap my account again, getting the exact same message: "Sorry, We can't change your email right now".

I need a step by step list of things to do so I can fix this. I haven't made a move on EITHER of my accounts over the last 30 days, the usual excuse for the error. I've had a very annoying month trying to connect my laptop, phone and xbox, putting all my
trust on Microsoft that having all 3 entertainment services by the same company would prevent me from having this kind of situations and here I am. Please, help.

Hi there

Yes, as far as I know that includes using your account/gamertag on a different console.

So you may only use the account on one console (I do advise you to remove the profile (Profile only) from the other console) and after 30 days you should be able to move it to another Microsoft Account.

This happened with me as well, it's extremely frustrating, microsoft should be on top of this.

 

You need to wait over 30days till you can change your email
