Account suspension after account hack - TheLonePrawn

Hey guys,

Hope you are well,

So on the 22nd of last month i submitted a request to help me with my account as i had been hacked and had no access, 1 week later i recieved an email as he couldnt change the email, telling me that my account was suspended,

on the 6th of this month i got my account back from the team who had migrated my gamertag to another email, (thanks)

i tried to login on my xbox but it wouldnt let me, the suspension email came up, then i remembered,

i did the questionnaire, but im not sure what happened, i got one question wrong then it told me i had to wait 24 hours,

Support have added some notes to my account too i think,

people don't need to change email address when compromised, they need to change password and make sure they have proper security... that includes not using passwords on more than one service, if one service is compromised all those details are sold.

Someone in another country will pop up with it, even if it takes years to happen. My skype password took approximately 4 years from compromise to have someone log in and use it.

This app makes you click approve when logging into websites, and it's instant once you click "accept" the website will load in normal.

Any devices that don't work with the app like xbox 360 will have you go to website once to create a password (it will generate a password that isn't easy) and you use that on those devices to login with your normal user name.

Last year almost 1 billion got paid out. That was a huge jump from 2015 where only 32 million was paid out. With a jump like that Im sure it will grow even more.

 

If you have an unauthorized access case open with support you will need to
contact them to assist with the progress.

If your account was suspended and you did not pass the questionnaire, there is nothing more you can do. You will have to wait for the suspension is lifted as there is no other way to contact the PET.

the account is no longer under review like that as i now have my account back, the suspension was added when it was in the hands of support, not me.

i don't mean to sound horrible, but you expect me to wait to the year 9999 ?

There's nothing anyone here can do. Only the enforcement team handle bans. You'll have to wait until you can submit a case review and then see what they say.

 

The support only asked you to wait, your case is still in investigation, you don't need to worry, they're working on it, and if your account was banned/suspended during the time you lost access, they will revert it, just wait :-D

Forgot to say: go answering the email's they sent to you, so, they'll be able to manage other's issues

Hey, SplittingNut95! The only way to reach the Enforcement Team is by submitting a
Case Review while logged into the account that is currently suspended. If you haven't heard anything back from the investigation team, you will want to do that to have them look into your suspension.
There is a character limit on case reviews, but I suggest you list any reference numbers that you have on there for the investigation so that they have easy access to that.
