Account Suspended from Online Multiplayer unfairly & undeserved

I was suspended from Xbox Live online multiplayer a couple of days ago until October 10th, and I don't think it was justified or deserved. My case says that I was harassing/threatening online players. I almost never engage in messaging with other online
players on xbox live. The only time I do is when I am messaging with friends that I am about to invite and play with. And I usually swear with them and joke around, but it is a mutual thing and nothing wrong with it.

In the past, there was one time that I sent a nasty message to another player after losing in a game of FIFA. I was suspended from communications for a week and I learned my lesson, so I decided to control myself, be positive and never message other players
again.

I do however share my xbox account with my brother. And well, he's a teenager and he's in a phase where he thinks he has to swear and act tough to feel like a man. Anyways long story short, whenever I'm at work, he's playing on my account (he's home schooled).
And when I spoke to him after this multiplayer suspension, he admitted to occasionally sending other players angry messages, but insisted that he never threatened or harassed anyone. That his messages were usually a one-off with the opposing player, usually
questioning his opponent's play style or tactics.

I am also a YouTuber and I upload daily content. This suspension has really hurt me. I cannot play online games to record footage or live stream to upload to my channel. I think this suspension is unjustified and wrong. I don't deserve to go through this,
and I apologize for any inconveniences this could have caused others. But my brother will not be touching my account ever again, as I got him his own account from now on.

I am also a predominant FIFA player online, and I am very good at the game. And amongst the FIFA community, it is believed that if you play a tough player (a professional or top 100 player), that if you block and report them, you have a slim chance of ever
having to face them again. This ensures that they will rank better in online play. This could also be a big reason why the enforcement team may have seen some reports and thought "this isn't a coincidence."

I am genuinely a great member of the xbox online community, and deserve better than this. I am not the first person to go through an unjustified suspension or ban from online play. This is an incredible inconvenience and sadly there's literally no way around
it, from the xbox support that I've contacted. I submitted a case to the enforcement team 3 days ago, haven't heard an update or response, and the latest xbox supporter I spoke to, told me to post on here.

There is an important FIFA game mode releasing next weekend that I need to and deserve to participate in. If you miss one weekend, your whole month is hurt. I am not deserving of this unnecessary consequence.

Swearing of any kind is not allowed,even if it is just a joke with your friends.

You are responsible for your account & everything that happens on it.

Any report filed is thoroughly investigated before any action is taken so you do not get suspended just because you have been reported.You must of violated the ToU/CoC in order to get a suspension.

Support should not of told you to post here as the enforcement team do not use the forums.

If you have filed for a case review then you must wait until it is investigated again & decision is made.

There is nothing anyone on the forums can do.

 

What really? I'm not allowed to swear at all? I never knew that. I thought it didn't matter unless you were swearing AT some one or threatening or being violent etc.. And in terms of getting suspended, ok that's good to hear! There was one time I thoroughly
deserved a suspension, but I learned from my mistake and no longer messaged anyone except my online friends. I did however share an account with my brother until this multiplayer suspension. But ok, I was told by the support person to post on the forums here
so that someone could maybe help me. I actually submitted my case 4 days ago I believe, and the xbox supporter told me it takes 48-72 hours, any reason why mine is taking longer? Thanks for your help!

 

Letting the odd swear word slip every now & then probably wont get you into trouble but as a rule swearing of any kind is not allowed,no matter who you are talking to.

Letting your brother use your account to avoid a suspension on his account could get you both into trouble.

As for your case review,can't answer that i'm afraid.Usually it can take up to 72 hours but every now & then it does take longer.

Support often tell people to post on the forums about enforcement enquiries when they shouldn't,it's because they don't know what else to do.

Yeah,sorry,i misread that.

It really would be better to have your own account to be honest.

If your brother keeps getting suspended eventually the account will get permanently banned & you'll lose all digital content tied to that account.

If you've paid for any of that content then you are the one who will lose out
