Account Stolen and Suspended

My brother's phone was stolen recently and the theif managed to access his Microsoft account and get it suspended somehow. We reset all the emails and passwords associated with my brother's account but the account is still suspended. We called customer support
and they proved useless. His gamertag is "A Wild Nom". If you guys have any information about how this can be rectified please let me know. Thank you.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had their account stolen. I have a open ticket with Xbox Support. But I am looking for any other advice. I do not understand how the email on my sons account got changed and now we can not access it. Thanks in advance.

 

Why not have your "brother" contact support ? Or check his e-mail ?

Seems your Brother broke the rules.... That is why he got a suspension.....

When the suspension is over, he can continue as usual. Otherwise, nothing can be done by anyone.

Tell him Good Luck and stay safe Play by the rules to prevent further action!!!

 

Or, if you truly believe the account was compromised and suspended as a result of it, call support back and ask them to open an unauthorized access investigation. However, if the length of the suspension is very short, it might be better to just wait it
out, since he wouldn't have access to the account during the investigation as well.

 

Like I said, have your brother contact suport...... Heck, have him check his E-mail for a reason why.

Suspensions and bans are NOT lifted unfortunatly. I understand the frustration and wish you well but, Not much you can do besides, Tell brother to wait.

Indeed the main account/ Credit card holder can start a UA....

Thanks for the help, as far as I am aware he doesn't mod or do anything that might get his account suspended. I recieved an email from microsoft on the day of the suspension saying that there was a security challenge from a different ip address. I checked
the recent activity on his account page and the security challenge was close to the time when the phone was stolen and the ip address involved was not mine. We called customer support and they told us to make a forum post about it (hence calling them useless).
The suspension doesn't lift untill mid October. I was under the impression that his account was suspended in response to the security challenge to prevent wrongful use of the account. I will try to contact support about a UA investigation tonight. Thanks guys
