Account still thinks I am a child?

Hey so I am 24 years old and I initially set up my xbox live account when I was around 14 I think and I had created a child account. How do I go about upgrading my account to an adult account? I have all of the family settings to unrestricted anyway, but
for some reason I cannot pre order destiny rise of iron. The account has my correct birthday so I have no idea why it would still think I am a child anyway. Anyone know of how to go about upgrading a child account to an adult one? Since there is no options
on here or on my Xbox one to do so I am hoping someone from Microsoft can just fix it.

Not sure what we're waiting to see, but using multiple trials is against code of conduct as well and most the time they limit you to one per every so often. How about we just stop being cheap and act like adult? $60- a year isn't much at all.

If you enjoy the service, then pay for it. Don't find ways to rip them off. If everyone did that, how can we expect the service to get better. It's people like you that are hindering progress. That's not cool at all.

The system doesn't automatically update your account to an adult account once you turn 18. You have to promote it -

You must set an age when the account is created. This age is either manually entered or can be pulled from a registered email.

You could check http://account.live.com to see what age is attached to the email address. This may or may not accurately reflect the xbox account though.

As far as I know, there is no direct location to look up the age tied to the gamertag.

The reason why you're still a "child" is because you haven't promoted your account from a child to an adult. In order to do this you will need to visit this page
here.

Please Note: You will need access to the parental information on the account in order to be able to promote the account.

Microsoft doesn't have a support e-mail in regards to Xbox LIVE issues (they used to but no longer). The only area that has any sort of support tickets is the Microsoft Account Team. Xbox Support utilizes these forums, Microsoft chat support, phone support
as well as twitter. All of these options are available here.

Once set an age of an account cannot be changed you must wait

Maybe you should try it on your PC via your Privacy and Online Settings.
