Account settings won't submit, how to fix?

Whenever I go into my Xbox profile and try to edit the settings, they save but don't submit? I previously had them turned off and then turned everything on to communicate in Minecraft but I still can't chat. Like I said, the settings are saved whenever I close the tab and open it again but give me the message "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again later." This has gone on for days and I've tried on both my phone and laptop, on WiFi and data. I don't know if the problem is with my Minecraft or account. Is someone able to help?
