Account security verification needs an overhaul

It takes far too long to receive the 'security code' via email. And after it is received, it isn't accepted. The security verification system is frustrating. Whoever designed this POS should be fired.

My hacked

If you feel your account was accessed you will need to contact official support to open an unauthorized access case. Along with changing your password you should add 2 step verification to your account for added security.

Security Code

@crafty1992: Please sign in with your Microsoft account email at account.live.com and update the email association and/or security features of your account.

Should you encounter anymore issues, please turn off two-step verification.

Here's how:

1.Sign in to your Microsoft account.

2.If prompted to validate your identity, enter the security code that was sent to your device.

3.Select Security & privacy, and then select More security settings.

4.Under Security settings, scroll down to Two-step verification.

5.Select Turn off two-step verification, and then confirm the change when prompted.

Update me of the progress please.

Sorry to hear it. There should be an option listed to have the code sent via text or called in to your land line. See if you can choose that option as the info comes fairly quickly (I've found the phone call is the fastest).

Hello Seonjong, you have already tried to add and your account a verification email in your security information.

In microsoft system security information options allows you to add phone numbers and secondary emails for this type of verification.
