    Account restricted for no reason


    Hi everyone, I just now tried to A. join a party with friends of mine and B. Do any online feature in any NBA2k game, and for parties it says "Your privacy settings prevent chat with some people." Mind you, I have already taken off any communication settings
    that prevent anything. I also know that is the message that comes up when you've had a communications ban or restriction, & I don't know how I received this; since the end of my last ban (that started on Aigust 4th and ended on August 20th) I have not been
    able to send messages or talk in parties. I feel almost as if xbox live just singles me out and I've really had enough of it. Anyone know what's going on???

    My account is restricted and I don't know why I am very upset that I pay you to have online game time experience and now I'm restricted for what reason ?

    Before you make the leap into Gold Family...be warned. (A Fix!)

    Are Family Gold Plan accounts still restricted to 1 "adult" account and all other being "child" accounts (regardless of age)?

    That is my biggest reason to not sign up for the Family Gold Plan.

    Head over to enforcement.xbox.com to check if no ban is active.

    After that remove your account from your console. Re-download it afterwards.

    https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US/enforcement/showenforcementhistory

    If your ban is over and you are still seeing the effects of it, follow these steps:

    1. Remove your account from your Xbox
    2. Restart your console by pressing the xbox button, press settings, press restart
    3. Add back the account.
    You can also double check your privacy settings by

    1. Going to Sign in to your Microsoft account and click privacy settings.
    2. Then scroll down to "Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites?" and select "Everyone"
    3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to save

    If all suspensions are expired, and you are therefore clear, try the following steps:

    1. Remove your account from the Xbox.
    2. Give your Xbox a power cycle.
    3. Add your account back into the Xbox.
    4. Attempt to use the social features now.

    Yes, I figured it out. For whatever reason, there was an age restriction on my Xbox account, probably for my little brother. Anyway, removing the age restriction and trying again worked for me. Try checking if you have any restrictions at all on your account
    (Xbox or Microsoft) and remove them. This should work for you too.

    If your age is correct here https://account.microsoft.com/profile and all your privacy settings are allowed here https://account.xbox.com/en-US/Settings, please try this.

    Open Settings then System -> Apps -> Apps & features -> look for Microsoft Store and click it. ->The advanced options link will appear. Click it. -> On the next page, click on the Reset button to reset Microsoft Store to default settings.

    After that, kindly sign out and sign back in on both Xbox app and Microsoft store app.
