Account region change issue.

I've been trying to change my account region for some time now but it keeps saying there has been a problem.

I've changed it beofe about 2 or 3 years ago with no issues, has this happened to anyone? If so how can I fix it.

Account region issue

I just got a used XBOX 360.
I live in Cyprus, where XBOX Live is not supported, so i decided to choose UK as my country (did the same with PSN). I was planning on topping up my account with pre-paid cards.
I managed signing up for XBOX Live trial and i also purchased 4 codes for Gears of War games from ebay. I managed redeeming the first one (using a VPN on my PC) and initiated the download on my console, i left it downloading and went to sleep.

Today, i couldnt find the game in my games list. I went through the purchase history, the game was there, but the Play option just redirected me to the "My games" section. So, i decided to download it again, assuming download was interrupted somehow. And around 80% download stopped and i didnt see any error message (i might have missed it). The issue isn't the codes

Codes are universal

The issue is your account region MUST reflect your actual region

To change your account region you must use my account and change my region on this website

After that you must change the locale of the console

FYI if you change the region of your account at a later date back to the us you won't be able to redownload region locked content

And rainbow 6 is a region locked content

For.the best experience with xbox live your account region must reflect your actual region

Have tried to dissconnecting (and reconnecting) your Xbox from your modem or router? This sounds like a connection problem, please reply if this problem persists.
