    Account Privileges problem (PUR3001)


    So my problem is that I cant buy anything on my account because it has family settings/ Privileges. I cant get into my fathers account (who has passed away) to change the privileges for my account. I dont want to set up a new account and normally I would
    use another account to buy games for the console so I can play on my account. However I want to change my gamertag and that is not possible.

    If anyone could help that would be very good

    Please fix this issue its not funny anymore.

    I've had this too! I can't buy anything!! All of my settings are changed so it allows me to purchase content but I keep getting PUR3001. I hope Microsoft sees this and addresses the problem.

    Are you the primary user on the computer? Do you perhaps have another account that has full Administrator privileges? As Mister Parks was referring to, this error occurs when an account without Administrator privileges attempts to install the Zune software.
    Can you check to see if another account on your PC has those privileges, and try installing it from that account?
