Account not allowed to play online

I have read some posts and I would like to say I have Xbox live, I have had it for several years so that isn't the problem.

I have also deleted my profile and downloaded it again.. I have tried contacting Xbox support by "chat" as the recording said when I called and it's not doing anything.

Im pretty sure I know what messed up my account. I downloaded the Xbox smart glass app on my phone while at work. After trying to log in a few times and forgetting my password, I reset it, only to come home and find this error..

Does anyone know how to fix this since I can't get ahold of Xbox support?

Account is not allowed to play online

If you purchased Live from the website it could take up to 24 hours to reflect on the console. You can speed up the process by either Testing Connection or Recovering Profile via the console.

When i try to play modern warfare 2 online it says that i dont have xbox live wich i purchased earlier in the day.

You're not showing as gold on here. Try checking your account at
http://commerce.microsoft.com to make sure it shows you're supposed to have gold. If it was cancelled or something, you will have to try contacting support.

Same has happened to me, just changed my reign and found that my country isn't supported by Xbox live -_-

Probably a caching issue if it's happening on the same console with different accounts. When the console is on, hold the power button down for 10 seconds. This will perform a hard reset and clear the cache. Try again once it's restarted

In the post, i said ive already done this.

When i go into my account settings, it just shows the setting is set to allow.

ive tried switching it to block, which obviously gives me the exact same results, but when switching it back, it still continues.

You should check your online xbox account settings and make shure it allows you to play online.

Check if your subscription is still active if not that might be the issue
