Account money not deducted from purchase.

I tried to buy a $1.99 Rock Band DLC song from the website, but the $1.75 I had on my account wasn’t deducted from my total. Can I be refunded the $1.75?

Sorry but there are no refunds for purchases. Next time you purchase an item be sure to select the payment option you want to use prior to confirming the purchase.

Sorry to hear about the purchasing confusion. Generally refunds aren't offered on digital purchases as onyx62is mentioned. It sounds like the issue is due to you purchasing through the website, which currently does not allow for using your account balance
with Xbox 360 games.

If you have any questions on the purchase definitely reach out to
Phone/Chat support. They may have some extra information

I also purchased GTA San Andreas tonight.

Money was deducted from my account, whereafter it says something went wrong.

Hi there,

Currently paying for a subscription with money on an account is not an option. When you go to complete the subscription payment, the system will charge the credit card on file first.

If you were paying for a game, the system will deduct the money from the account first before it charges the credit card on file if there is still money due (and the system will show how much is being charged/deducted from each payment option before the user completes the purchase.
