    Account migration


    My son has an Xbox but as my partner set this up it is with her Microsoft email address and password. I want my son to have a stand alone account as my partners email is now associated with work and not suitable for Xbox. My son has logged thousands of gaming
    points so don't wont to lose this just migrate the account to my sons email. Can you help?

    Accounts ?

    Silver gives access to live for free but no multiplayer. Pretty sure it will be all you need to migrate her account to the one

    How do I log into my Minecraft account?

    The migration process has ended on 19 September 2023. If you forgot to migrate your Mojang account to a Microsoft account, you will not be able to sign in.

    However, if you already migrated your account, you can't re-migrate it to a different Microsoft account.

    My gamertag has not been recovered and instead I got a new one.

    Not if the account was Migrated. When an account is migrated you lose any downloads that were downloaded before the Migrated. It even stated so on the FAQ when it was the Migration Tool was available. I think it does this by wiping out your Download History.
