Account merging

Hi,

I am looking for a way to merge my old Xbox 360 account with my new Xboxone account. the problem is that the email that was on the old account is no longer an email and was my dads. I have days of time played on games that now since some are backwards
compatible i would not like to lose.

Sorry, but it is not possible to merge accounts.

 

You can not merge accounts, but you could sign into that older account on Xbox One and download its accounts. You could then play its games on Xbox One.

If you are unable to access the old account, there might not be a whole lot that can be done, but you might want to speak with Phone Support to see if they are able to help you at all:

What is holding this back from being done? Surely so many people would benefit from this. If people want to sell their gamer tags or collect tons of them, so be it. A lot of people have this issue and it is annoying. If gamertags would be more likely to
be hacked or stolen if this was possible, then it should be made so that you can merge them but it still acknowledges both gamertags in achievements (possibly only using one starting when you merge them), while allowing to build off each other, that way gamertag
aren't just disappearing, I suppose. Also, there could be a limit on how many you can merge. Come on though already, who do we have to beg and for how long to get this done. It has to be possible. :/ Even if it was difficult enough to do that everyone wouldn't
just do it, let some of us!! ha
