    A while back (2 years or so) I got myself a copy of Sea of Thieves. Excited to play, I tried to log in to my Xbox live account, to find I had been locked out because of an attempted hack or something (I can't remember the details). After going through the
    account recovery process and adding new security details I was informed the account would remain locked for an additional 30 days (something to do with verifying the new details, again can't remember the details 100%).

    I couldn't wait an extra 30 days to play my shiny new copy of Sea of Thieves, so I instead added it to my secondary account on my PC so I could start playing immediately (It was a digital code, not a hard copy). I now regret that decision as I have to log
    in to that account for Sea of Thieves, but have to log in to my main account for all other game-related things.

    I have searched and understand that merging the two accounts is an impossibility.

    My question is, is there a way I can transfer this single game licence over to my main account?

    That way I can keep all game-related stuff on my gaming account, and keep my secondary account for work-related things as I originally intended.

    Hi SheldonJ. Plankton,

    If the DLC are on two different Microsoft accounts then you will have to buy again as the digital licences are not transferable between accounts/ accounts can not be merged.

    Sorry to hear it. Unfortunately you are unable to transfer licenses from one gamertag to another as well. However, Seas of Thieves is included in the PC Game Pass if you were interested in checking that out

    Hi there, unfortunately there is no way to merge two gamertags or transfer licences/content between them.

    Don't forget though that doing the Licence Transfer as stated above that will transfer ALL game licences tied to that account.

    You can transfer licences from one Xbox to another, using the same account, but there's no way to transfer licences from one account to another.
