Account Merge - Xbox

I have recently sought to have an old Xbox account merged with my current one and have discovered that it is currently impossible to do.

I would like to start this forum post to gauge Xbox customer's interest in such a feature.

Doing a quick forum search indicated that there are many other customers who have the same query regarding an account merge. The reasoning behind the requests have many purposes including but not limited to;

• Store purchases
• Old gamerscore and achievements
• Friend lists
• Avatar and other unlocks
• Merging a PC account with an old Xbox account
• Old accounts having association with old or inaccessible email addresses

In my case it is purely to retain my old achievements and unlocks from an inaccessible email address account. It doesn't seem like a big deal but the whole point of gamerscore and unlocks is to reward the player for effort put into gaming and if I can't
have that reflected in my account, what is the point of it?

I hope that an account merge is considered as a result of this forum post as it seems that it is something that the community has been asking for in great number for a long period of time.
