Account login FRUSTRATIONS

So I tried helping one of my boys that likes his Xbox One over my other son's PS4. He was having issues logging in the second account I setup on there for him THAT WOULD LET A SECOND PLAYER PLAY online.... which is rediculous by the way. Just create a setup
that allows the system to have a secondary ID under the main account as a SIMPLE option for free play earning no rewards, just like SONY HAS.

Anyways, I am forced to use a login on a MSN account that I never use, and have to click forgot password. I takes me the password captcha page. I type in EXACTLY WHAT EVERY FRAME SAYS, and it just refreshes saying type in more letters. I purposely type the
wrong letters after 15 tries of putting the right letters and it says I typed the letters wrong... duh...

Ok so lets try the "listen" part of the password captcha. Another mistake.. Sounds like a bunch of babble and screeching. Why can't you just send a text to the phone I setup under the account.. Making everything just as GD complicated as Apple.

Kudos to Sony for designing the system to use ANY email accounts for login, as well as guest login for two players for online gameplay..

Xbox is telling me to get Gold even though I have it?

Another way to attempt to fix this, is to remove the account from the xbox in settings->accounts-> remove accounts. After that is removed login with that gametag again to force the console to fetch your live subscription data. In rare cases your Xbox account and live account will lose sync.

 

Confusion regarding gamesharing.

Confused by the question. But, the principle is, the, the home console play games without login in the account. Any other console, you will need to login and play the game. That's it.

You didn't ask for any help, but just in case you're still trying to work through this it sounds like you might be interested in setting up Family accounts and specifically a Child Account for your son. All of this can be done on the console and does not
require your old MSN account.

Also, if you want a guest account, these can be created on-the-fly and do not require any additional Microsoft account.
