Account login does not work

Whenever I try to sign in on the Xbox app for Game Pass Beta content, it shows me as logged out. When I log in (from any of the dialog windows across the app), it immediately gives me the welcome message, then continues to show the "login" button instead
of account info. I'm logged in properly on my MS account on Win10 and everything else in the MS-sphere is working fine. This happens on my PC and my Surface. I can sign in on the Live website with the same account.

I'm able to launch games already installed, but only in offline mode. The Beta app does not show a user icon in the upper right and only offers "sign in" on the dropdown. I've checked all of my account data, reinstalled, rebooted, etc.

The only thing I can think of is I recently changed my primary sign in alias to a different @outlook address on the same account, but it is the same account and shows up properly in Windows. Maybe it didn't update in some beta database?

That kinda helped. I was able to sign into my account on the Companion app, which then logged me into the Game Pass Beta app. I still don't know the underlying issue, but thanks

I do believe you need a new update as from what I recall on PC now the app is called xbox companion now so just head to the windows store and see if it needs it

go into settings and remove all the profiles , (make sure you have the email and password to get them back ) after you remove the profiles , shut the xbox down by holding the xbox logo on the console for 8 seconds till it powers down , while it is off ,
unplug your modem and router for 30 seconds to clear them also , plug the modem and router back up and when they are online , turn the xbox back on , when it is all the way up . re add your main profile ...it may sit there and sync a little while but all SHOULD
be good afterwards ...

again it does not work, however... Ive read that by having my main account set to auto login.... was the problem. So for future note:

having your main account set to auto login when turned on is the problem. go into preferences and turn auto login OFF and it then works

This does not work. When I sign in to the account, it just pops up the Korean login window and downloads the program mentioned above.
