Account Help - Removing Linked Console -

Troubleshooting through the errors I find i am unable to unlink a console from my account. If you have a thread that helps resolve this issue let me know.

Brief Explanation, It was my friends xbox, dont talk to friend anymore, cant ask him to unlink from xbox itself. Online account management keeps timing out with an error

Ran into an issue with backwards compatible games. (Please Help.)

Your old gamertag is in the xbox 360 cache you have to go to settings and remove the linked account before you can add the new one. This happened to me 2 when i changed the lame tag microsoft assigned me. Even if you put the correct information and passcodes ot wont download your new gamertag until you remove the old linked account

 

Xbox is telling me to get Gold even though I have it?

Another way to attempt to fix this, is to remove the account from the xbox in settings->accounts-> remove accounts. After that is removed login with that gametag again to force the console to fetch your live subscription data. In rare cases your Xbox account and live account will lose sync.

I'm a bit confused on your question, but I think you're asking how do you remove your account from another console. If that is the case, the answer is you can't. Only someone at the console can remove an account from the console. If your account is on that
console, and you do not have access to it, I would suggest resetting your Microsoft Password using this link. Resetting your password will block any access from your account on that
console.
