Account has been permanently banned - how do I review this?

Good afternoon team,

On 13/01/2022 after a family member was playing an online game using me account, they notified me that my account has been permanently banned. They (15 M spectrum disorder) had said they had been playing an online game and got into a heated conversation with someone else about the game. I have been looking after my cousin due to serious family health concerns surrounding COVID for over a year and he has been essentially using this profile while I am at work as he doesn't have much else to do.

I am not sure what had happened but I am looking to try to appeal the ban on my account. I have had this profile since I was 14 (28 now) and I have never recieved any warnings in that time.

Is there anyone who can help me speak to the enforcement team as I have reviewed my profile there and not only does it say I have clear conduct, but also no enforcement history to appeal. Please help? I really would love to have back something I have had for this long.

Yes, there is a possibility it is not permanent. As stated above: There is an issue with the notification system for suspensions telling everyone they are permanently suspended, when it's actually a shorter suspension. You can try contacting support and they can tell you how long your suspension actually is, but they won't have any further information about the suspension.

Hi I have been having the same issues as jakeX2 with being giving a permanent ban with no details as to why, and not being able to access my account. As a account user in the UK is there a link to contact support I could use to text or call someone about this? I've tried logging in to use the standard xbox support but it won't let me log in.

There is an issue with the notification system for suspensions telling everyone they are permanently suspended, when it's actually a shorter suspension. You can try contacting support and they can tell you how long your suspension actually is, but they won't have any further information about the suspension. There's currently an issue with the enforcement site not showing current suspensions which means it's not possible to submit a case review at the moment.

I have tried to log in multiple times and I have recieved a pop up saying the account is permanently banned. Is this correct?

My cousin is extremely upset at his actions as he knows how much this account means to me. Is there any possibility that this isn't a permanent ban?

Hello!

Permanent bans are only issued for extremely severe or repeated offenses. The best option would be for him to appeal the ban at enforcement.xbox.com then How Do I? And Case Review. Permanent bans are rarely overturned, but after further review they may remove
it.
