    My account was compromised by a hacker exactly one week ago, the hacker updated all my security info and replaced it with his own, including 2 step verification. The representative I spoke to said he's sent my case to the "Advocacy Team" for investigation
    and that I'd receive an email within 3 days. I wait 3 days and receive no email so I contact again requesting a status update, to see how the process with my account is coming along. Representative told me he'd contact me again within 72 hours. 72 Hours later,
    I haven't been contacted, I haven't received any emails, and I'm starting to have my doubts. I know it seems like I'm impatient and I may be, but literally since the day my account was hacked, that was the last time I turned on my xbox and I'm coming to think
    that if I can't get my account back, I have no use in an xbox anymore, I have no desire to make a new account and start over. I've had my account for a good 10 years (Played since 2008, joined xbox live in 2012) and If all of that is just taken from me in
    an instant and I can't get it back, that might be the end of me and xbox honestly, It may sound dramatic, but, I've invested so much time, and better yet MONEY into the account, from buying and pre-ordering triple A games to gamertag changes and avatar items,
    and I'm not doing it again. So. Ill wait another few days, maybe a week. If I don't have it back by then, Ill be making a trip to gamestop or there might be a new ebay listing.

    I have just been to the Support tab (by using the drop down box where it says "discussion" - where I posted about connection impossible earlier today. And there is a response - of sorts - from Microsoft Bingo.

    It wasn't there earlier, though seems now to be pinned to the top and says is 7 days old.

    Basically it gives the usual "troubleshooting guide" and doesn't address current issues at all.

    I responded to explain this (by PM)

    Maybe others could also reply?

    Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to help me out with this. I ended up sending a d.m. to xbox support's twitter account as well and got a similar response back. Hopefully I will hear some resolution back soon. Thanks again!

    I'm not sure why he sent you to the advocacy team as they don't do the investigations

    Who he should've sent you to is the unauthorized access case and they deal directly with enforcement

    And it can take 1-2 weeks before they get back to you

    Advocacy is something different they help you when you don't have any other options or help along but they don't do unauthorized investigations or enforcement

    you have to wait for the global escalations team.

    And yes its on their time table as they do handle other cases and are a very very small team

    Hacked account - no response

    I am not really understanding what you are meaning here. You say that your account was suspended for a pending investigation on November 4, 2011. Then you proceed to say "over a month later..." For me, November 4, 2011 was only yesterday.

    Secondly, Xbox does suspend all accounts that have been reported as hacked. This prevents the hacker to make any charges on the account/cards. If the account is indeed found to have been hacked and fraudulent charges have been made by a hacker then Xbox
    will refund you for the amount stolen.

    This works like PayPal, investigations can not be handled in a matter of days. It takes time to look everything over thoroughly. You can call them up on the support hotline with your casenumber and request a status update as well.

    Hm, the information should have been sent to the email you provided to them when making the support case. However, they have gotten my email wrong, but ever since they asked for the gamertag info everything has been consistent so far. But yes, just sit and
    wait, this is the only thing you can really do atm. It sucks, but that's just how it is with these situations.
