Account Hacked, Name Changed

Hi, my name is braden and about 2 weeks ago my account was hacked. The person who gained access spent over $500 on games and DLC,deleted all my friends, then changed my name. The bank has credited my bank account back the money but i feel it would be
unfair for me to have to pay the $10 to change my name from "Frozy Haxed Ya" back to what i had before. That is not the most appealing gamertag. I would really appreciate it if you could credit me the $10 or permit me a name change so i can change it back.

Name fix..

My account was hacked a few years ago and the name on my account was changed. I eventually changed it back to my real name. Another year goes by, I get the XBox One and when I sign in it greets me as the fraud name. I contacted support and they claim nothing
is wrong. It's my real name on the account, but then why would the hacked name, be the one on my account on the console? Is there anyway to change it manually?

Late lastnight my account was hacked and my gamertag was changed. i got my account back but i would like a force name change for me plz

 

If you haven't done so already, you would need to contact support and have them do an unauthorized access investigation. You would also need to talk to them about about a possible credit for a name change. 1-800-4my-xbox or

Also, you should not post your personal information on a public forum.

Support typically sends people to the forums with incorrect information about how the forums work. When it comes to name changes they are under the impression that you can come here and request a name change from the enforcement team and they'll give you
one, but that is not correct. The enforcement team do issue forced name changes, but not by request. Those are only given when a name violates the code of conduct and even then they are given a randomly generated tag and you would still have to pay to get
a name you actually want. It's also not possible to contact the enforcement team directly for any other reason than to find out why you've been suspended/banned. There's a forum for that which is the only forum the enforcement team posts in, but support believes
they post all over the forums.

 

The support agent was wrong, this is an issue that the Xbox phone support team needs to deal with, they need to setup an unauthorized access case as Smwuthes suggested.
