Account hacked, Microsoft simply says "Create a new account"

My account was recently hacked. The hacker changed both emails, renoved my phone number and activated two step verification. After endless hours of being transferred around I was finally transfered to an "Account Specialist". They stated that there is no
way to Recover my account ... And simply told me to make a new one.

i have been a loyal customer to Microsoft for over 6cyears with thousands spent on this account... Why is it that something as simple as this cannot be done? I have proof fhat this is my account and has been for over 6 years. Throughout searching, I see
that others in similar situations were able to get their accounts back after undergoing an investigation. however I was never offered this "investigation"?b

Microsoft and Xbox Accounts

When I created my Microsoft account it didn't link to my Xbox Live account and it created a new one. How can I get rid of this new xbox account and link my old one?

Hi JeffreyC4444.

The Microsoft account is also an Xbox account.

If you want to create a new Xbox account, it's only possible to create a new Microsoft account.

people don't need to change email address when compromised, they need to change password and make sure they have proper security... that includes not using passwords on more than one service, if one service is compromised all those details are sold.

Someone in another country will pop up with it, even if it takes years to happen. My skype password took approximately 4 years from compromise to have someone log in and use it.

This app makes you click approve when logging into websites, and it's instant once you click "accept" the website will load in normal.

Any devices that don't work with the app like xbox 360 will have you go to website once to create a password (it will generate a password that isn't easy) and you use that on those devices to login with your normal user name.

support.xbox.com/.../contact-us & ask to open an unautherised access case.

There's nothing anyone on the forums can do i'm afraid.

You say your old account was hacked and then you've used the same Id AND password of the hacked account to create a new one ?!

If you already created another Microsoft account with the same email as the hacked Microsoft account, the hacked account will not be able to be recovered. You can try to use the recovery form but it will find your new account with the email address, not the old account. I'm really sorry about this, my friend.

create a new microsoft account but dont sign in xbox live click your old account and push the button that says change microsoft account to the new microsoft account you created

you cant simply transfer a gamertag from one microsoft account to another, it is the microsoft account that holds all the info regarding purchases etc etc.

when you create a new microsoft account it automatically creates a new gamertag with a random name.

you can add a new email address to your existing microsoft account as an alias and even make that the primary email.
