    So I received a strange email about new details being added to my account. So it seems someone gained access somehow, changed the security contact info - which Microsoft didn't think was odd - and now if I attempt to fix the problem I am prompted to use the hackers email address at every opportunity. I have managed to get back into the account, changed password, changed password to email address as well (as I assume that's what was compromised as there were notifications "deleted") but I am still faced with the fact that I am unable to reset the details for 30 days.

    In which case, how did the hacker seemingly change it in a few minutes? Why was the first notification of something untoward happening a text sms telling me that my phone number had been removed from the account?

    How were they able to make such significant changes instantaneously, whereas I am faced with a 30 day wait?

    Hello again, in this case you should contact Xbox Customer Service and request an ATO (Account Takeover), this is because this forum is public viewing and unfortunately as independent consultants we do not have access there is some data and procedures that Xbox Support has.

    However the ATO is a similar procedure to the online form, but done by a Microsoft agent, it will need as much information as possible for you to do the procedure.

    No unfortunately, if you have already tried to recover and it was unsuccessful I’m afraid not you can keep trying though mcmfa is ran by an asian domain it botted your email so it can be sold on the market if you know the password you can try to get in there is a lot of Minecraft account hi jackings right now

    its Not only that did you visit any fake websites or sql injected websites, did you have 2 factor? It’s rare to get hacked out of the blue like that you had to of been phished
