How do I change my kid account to an adult account or remove the restrictions

You will need your parents to change the settings. If you have reached that old "adult" age, then your parents will need to remove you from the "family" account.

Minecraft Parental Control Settings

Ask your parents that have an adult Microsoft Account to add your child/teen account to their family in
Microsoft account | Your family

After that, your parent needs to go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and be signed in with their adult parent account.

On that page they should now also see your account. They have to click on that account and make the changes to your account's online and privacy settings then.

It is easy

First goto accounts.microsoft.com and sign in with the parental email

Goto manage child accounts

Then remove the said child account email

Then signin on the child account then assign an new parental email

Please go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and try to change your online and privacy settings there.

If you get a page describing how to add a child account to a parent account, you probably entered an incorrect birthdate when you created your account.

Unfortunately, you can't change the birthdate on your Xbox account to make you an adult, so you will need a parent with an adult account.

The parent has to sign into their adult account and go to
https://account.microsoft.com/family and add your child account to the family. Then the parent has to go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and make the necessary changes for you.

Thank you for coming to the forums, I'd be happy to provide some information.

The only way I can see this happening is that he perhaps knows the password to the adult account and added it to his friend's Xbox and managed to remove himself from the family and then set his friends account as the parent. A child account does not have
the ability to remove themselves from the Family without the parent account or another adult account in the family doing it from their own account through the Family settings. Accounts can only remove themselves from a Family once they graduate to adult accounts
on their real 18th birthday, granted the correct age was used during account creation.

I recommend for security reasons changing your password just to make sure he's not getting into the parent account and making these changes. Do you have any other adult accounts in the Family by any chance?

The parental controls on the Xbox 360 have nothing to do with Forza Horizon 3.

If you have an adult account, you can simply go to
https://account.xbox.com/settings and change your online and privacy settings.

Only adults may make such changes to their family account, you will have to speak to your parent and see if they change your settings and allow Fortnite.
