Account email 360 is outta use, how to transfer account to xbox one?

Hello everybody,

I just bought a xbox one and want to transfer my 360 account to my one. I have to emailadress but the problem is the email does not exist ( be in use anymore). How can i transfer the account safely?

I can also make a new account, but would really like to play on my old 360 account with my friends and all the downloaded games.

No email needed for a guest account, it works same as it did on 360. Anyone can use voice commands regardless of having an account.

 

How can I sell my xbox one account safely?

Wouldn’t sell an account like that.

Could transfer it to a younger relative or something, but for me it’d simply be impossible, because my Xbox account is my Windows account is my Skype account. I’m fully tied into the Microsoft ecosystem.

Real answer I suppose is that you could remove all payment and identification and address info, and tie it to a burner email. But there’s nothing fully “safe” about it and I think it’s a bad scene.

We apologize for the confusion but rest assured we are here to help, to simplify this, the email address attached to the gamertag is a Microsoft Account, the handle (@hotmail, @aol, ect) doesn't matter. What needs to be done is sign into the account on the
Xbox One and any owned content (as long as it is backwards compatible) will be under the ready to install page. Go ahead and try it and let us know if we can further assist in this or any other matter!

 

It does not matter if the email is in use anymore or not it would still be considered a MS account.

Now if you want to change the email that is used to sign into your account you can go to

account.live.com/addassocid

choose either create a new (outlook.com) email or use an existing email (that is not currently a MS account.

you will need to verify ownership of the account with a security proof that you have on the account

How this is done it will send a code to either an email or phone number that was added as a security proof on the account.

now if you do not have access to any of the security proofs you can still change the security proof on the account

KEEP IN MIND IF YOU DO KNOW THE EMAIL AND PASSWORD FOR THE ACCOUNT BUT DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO ANY OF THE SECURITY PROOFS YOU WILL STILL BE ABLE TO ADD A NEW SECURITY PROOF TO THE ACCOUNT BUT THIS WILL CAUSE YOUR ACCOUNT TO BE PUT INTO A 30 DAY HOLD FROM BEING
ABLE TO DO ANYTHING THAT REQUIRES A SECURITY PROOF. LIKE CHANGING THE EMAIL, PASSWORD, SECURITY PROOFS, PHONE NUMBERS. ONCE THE CHANGE GETS STARTED THERE IS NO WAY TO CANCEL IT UNLESS YOU REGAIN ACCESS TO ONE OF THE OLD SECURITY PROOFS.
