Account crisis

Ok you xbox nerds, I need some help...so here's my situation. I bought a used xbox off a friend and it came with games on it and the ability to play online under his sign on.

Now he said he never pays for online, im guessing someone else under his friends list does?

Is he signed into there xbox allowing him to get free online?

How do I get the same ability under my account I previously had?

If I sign him out of the xbox do I still get to play the games?

Do I have to set my account as home for the xbox, if so can I still play the games?

The games are ready to install, they are not installed, as their are 50 games on the xbox ready to install.

do you know how I could do all this?

I basically want nothing to change except for my account to be in place of his.

What games would you like to see come to Backward Compatibility?

crisis , crisis 2 and crisis 3 would really be nice

Either he uses free trial codes, plays during free weekends or has an account on his console that has a gold subscription and is either logged in or it's the account's home console.

"How do I get the same ability under my account I previously had?" - Add your account to the console and you will have your privileges on that console. You can go here for the steps to add your account if you're not sure how: Add or Remove a Microsoft Account on Xbox One

"If I sign him out of the xbox do I still get to play the games?" - Unless the console is his account's home console you will not be able to play any of his games unless his account is signed in.

"Do I have to set my account as home for the xbox, if so can I still play the games?" - As long as the console can connect to the Live servers, you can play your games anywhere. You can only play your games offline on your account's
home console.

On the console go to My Games and Apps > Ready to install > select the game you want installed. The game(s) will download then you will be able to play them.
