    Account Communication Suspension


    Recently I sent a message to someone, ONE message, with only ONE word in it. Which apparently automatically bans my account so now I can no longer communicate with friends for at least 24 hours. This player team killed myself and several other players and
    my one choice word was enough to get me banned instead of him. I am a U.S. Army Veteran and I served my country for the freedom of speech which includes the freedom of expression. Now, I have owned an Xbox since Halo 1, back when system link was popular and
    Xbox live was still growing. One thing I have noticed over the years is the distancing of the companies and corporations contracted within, from their customer base. Why is it that Xbox and its affiliates want to sell us a product and then turn your back on
    the guarantee to provide adequate communication with the customers? I'm getting quite frustrated with the way your customer service has diminished in the past few years. I used to be able to call you guys to help with anything now I can't even get a number
    to call or I get redirected or rejected when I get to your website (I.E. your Enforcement Team Review process).

    P.S. I tried the questionnaire, don't you think asking someone if a purple avatar is okay is a bit ridiculous as well for a test? (Btw turns out you can't have one, how am I supposed to know that??)

    Suspension and support nonsense

    communication suspensions can include multiplayer suspension also

    If you read the bottom it does say account suspension not just communication

    Communications Suspensions
    Communication suspensions are imposed due to inappropriate conduct during communication activities on Xbox Live. This suspension blocks an account from accessing any communication features on Xbox Live, including text messages, voice messages, video communications,
    Skype on Xbox One, in-game chat, and party chat. Communications suspensions are issued for a specified temporary duration, often of 1, 7, or 14 days.

    During a communications suspension the account may continue to access the Xbox Live service, including online multiplayer. At the conclusion of the suspension all communication functionality will be automatically restored.

    Unfortunatelly, 24 hours suspensions are note elegible for review, you need to wait. I sugest you to report the user and block him to avoid future problems like this.

    Turns out it is until 22 May... Looks like I'll be needing to call some people. This is ridiculous. I have never had a problem like this til now and I am thinking of starting a boycott for all the players sick of this crap

    Insulting or harassing other players through xbox live communications gets you suspended for you signed an agreement when you joined the service. It would be best if you read that agreement carefully and try to respect it:

    Since your ban is more than 24 hrs you can ask for a case review. After submitting it, an Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement agent will begin a thorough review of the enforcement action. This includes reviewing available data and re-examining evidence that contributed
    to the enforcement, taking into account any new details that you have provided.

    Yeah I get that there are agreements, that doesn't mean they don't change and it still doesn't change the fact he was a team killing
    [Mod Removed]. I'm just going to try the 1-800 number to get some real results, I'm probably talking to a lot of uneducated kids with no degree in here, I wouldn't expect people to man up and stick it to the company when they are stepping the
    line. I would think a 7 day ban for a single word, literally one word i sent him "[Mod Removed]" would qualify as overstepping

    I am not a kid and I have a degree. You can call anyone you want and you will get the same answer. No one except the enforcement will be able to assist you with this issue. I seriously doubt your ban was for one single word. Fortunately, we all see
    how insulting you can be and that really says a lot.

    As to why, You should receive an email addressed to the email account associated with the gamer tag that received the ban/suspension from Microsoft/Xbox telling you why you were banned. To check your enforcement history, you can go here: https://enforcement.xbox.com/Enforcement/ShowEnforcements
    just make sure to sign in with the affected account.

    Case review:

    If you believe you have been unfairly banned, You can submit a case review if your ban is longer than 24 hours, however there is no guarantee that you will be un-banned. This page has all the details on what a case review is and how to submit one:
