    While I was with my girlfriend for the 5 and a half years we were together closer to the end of the 5th year we decided to move in together and I met her family out in Wisconsin. Her dad who I had most recently met when I moved out there has reallllllly
    bad dementia. When I say we I mean it as me and my girlfriend at the time, keep that in mind. When we had asked to use her dads card for I believe it was 3 games on the Xbox but I don't know for sure I can't remember how many things were actually disputed.
    Her father said yes. He had a lot of money so he didn't mind. So we went ahead bought things on the Xbox. Being that he has dementia he forgot that we used his card and when he checked his bank account after getting a call from his bank he had disputed all
    the charges made on the card for when we bought the games on the Xbox. After we broke up I had removed all of her dad's information off of my account back in February of last year. Since then I've had money on my account from prepay So I never got the error
    message that I am coming to you guys for now

    How to Manage your Xbox LIVE payment options

    Overview

    You can choose to use more than one payment method for your Xbox LIVE account. The payment options include credit cards and PayPal accounts. You can use these payment options to buy items from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

    The 2-year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract uses only credit cards as the payment option. The other payment options like Debit Cards, Prepaid cards and PayPal are not valid for this subscription. However, you can change your payment to another credit card.

    If it is before the end of the two years and there is no credit card associated with your account, it is assumed you have terminated the subscription, and you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and any applicable taxes.

    It is easy to edit your payment options on your console or at Xbox.com

    Steps to Follow

    Add or change a payment option using your console

    1) Use your Xbox LIVE gamertag to Sign in.

    2) Proceed to Settings and then select Account.

    3) Select Manage Payment Options, and then choose either of the following:
    • If you want to add a new credit card, select Add Credit Card.
    • If you want to use your PayPal account on Xbox LIVE, select Add PayPal. You will be required to enter your PayPal username and password. Follow the instructions to add PayPal as a payment option. You cannot use PayPal as a payment option for the 2 year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract. PayPal is not available in all regions.
    4) After making changes to payment options, select Update Payment Option.

    Add or Change a payment option on Xbox.com

    1) Go to My Account.

    2) Select Payments and Billings and click on Manage Payment Options.

    3) You may be required to Sign in using your Microsoft account (email and password).

    4) Proceed to do either of the following:

    If you want to edit a payment option, select Edit.

    If you want to add a payment option, you can do either of the following:
    • Click on Add New Credit Card and enter the credit card information
    • Click on PAY with PayPal and follow the instructions.

    Definitely not right, my payments have always split, any credit left on the console is used and then the rest goes on your card

    Sounds like you have a billing suspension on your account. In order to resolve this issue, you'll need to either update the card information that is already on the account or add a new payment instrument to resolve the balance.

    You cannot use a prepaid card to take care of the balance, it needs to be paid with a payment instrument.

    If your having trouble updating your payment options I would suggest contacting support directly.

    support.xbox.com/contact-us

    I believe your account may be in suspension due to you having to cancel your card. If you havent updated your card details on your Xbox account it may be looking to charge the canceled card, therefore not being able to get payment and leading to the suspension.

    Easy fix if you contact support as they can update your details and process any due payments.

    Can't delete my paiement option.

    But it's not enough to cancel the card, because from what you describe you left auto-renew on so at the end of the first year and beginning of the next it tried to take a payment from the card and failed, which is probably why you are getting errors. And
    if it fails to take payments due to an invalid card it will put your account into a sort of 'payment suspension' until you rectify it.

    Great answer RED SHIFT1!! But I do want to add on to your suspension question, so you know for all future references with payment options and things. Whenever you get a message that your account has been suspended due to payment option, it is because you
    need to update your account information with a valid credit card or debit card. That is the only way you will get suspended due to payment options error.
