    My Son's X Box stopped working. He does not know his pass word and has since changed his email several times. I am still getting charged for an account that is not being used. I have been navigating around the Microsoft site for 3 hours trying to cancell
    the account with no luck and getting very frustrated!!

    Hello,

    I'm assuming by "cancel", you mean delete, if so, you will need to contact phone support. Though when you request an account deletion, I'm not sure if this is possible to
    do with leaving the Microsoft Account intact.

    Hi there,

    As far as I know the only way that comes close to cancelling an account is by closing the Microsoft Account that is connected to that xbox live account. I don't think that would free up the gamertag though.

    it is possible for the phone techs to change your pass and what not, and also give you, your secret question anwser, as i had also the same problem, roughly about 2-4 hours ago... i called tech and they reseted it for me... on this gamertag and all....they
    are not ment to do it tho, (bold and yelling) BUT, they aren't ment to do it tho... even if you can prove who you are and what not....

    you just need to prove you are you and the owner of the account with more information then that is needed for just basic tech support,
