Account blocked for violating terms of service.

My son and I have had a Microsoft account for 2 days for using XBOX and went on today and both accounts blocked for violating terms of service. Only my son has used it to play Fortnite and Roblox so what could he have done in the 2 days to violate the terms. Ive gotten them both unblocked very quickly but I would love to know what was done to be blocked in the first place.

    :)

Account blocked for violating terms of service.

Hello, Mike. Thanks for reaching out! My name is Lucas. I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user just like you. I'll be happy to assist you today.

By block do you mean a Xbox Live suspension - issued by the Xbox enforcement team (https://enforcement.xbox.com) - or a Microsoft account lock (Account has been locked), that asks you to change your account password or associate an alternate email address or phone number to the account?

If it was a Microsoft account lock, no one here can say for sure what might have caused it. But sometimes if you create an account and do not associate a phone number or email address to it, or sign in to it using a VPN or from too many devices, it can trigger an automated response from the Microsoft server. This is usually an automated response triggered by unusual sign in activities or a behavior that might violate the Microsoft Terms of Use. It is not manually done by a Microsoft employee.

Feel free to ask back any questions.

    what do i do?

Report him and block him. As long as you haven't done anything to violate the code of conduct/terms of service, you'll be fine.
