Account being charged even though it was closed

I keep getting charged monthly for xbox live to a closed account. I do not know how to stop the subscription when i can not even access the account. How does one go about that... I do not even own an xbox one anymore. I had to create this account to post

is it usual pratice to suspend an account as ms were unable to take unauthorize monies

They told you that because you were charged for that. Even though your mother credit card was closed in october. THe credit card still existed on the account, So it was charging a closed credit card therefore the three months were not being paid for which
led to your suspendtion.

Regarding Gamertag Change

Hi,

I am trying to create my custom gamertag. The account was made on the 31st of August and I simply used the account generated name as the customisable tab was not working at the time. I am now being charged to create my own custom gamertag even though I have
no actually created one. I chatted with an Xbox Live spokes person and they requested you investigate the issue. Basically, I am trying to create a custom gamertag yet I am being charged even though the system changed it at the start.

There's no way you can close an Xbox Live Profile as it will stay or link to your Microsoft Account Email forever unless it's moved to a different Microsoft Account Email. Closing an account literally can only be done by signing-in your Microsoft Account
Email that is associated to your Gamertag to
http://account.live.com > Security & Privacy > More Security Settings > The last option at the bottom of the page > Close Account. However, we do not recommend this to be done because once an account has been closed, all the other or third party services
that your email is linked to will also get affected.

When it comes to Xbox Live charges, there's a way to cancel this. One is to sign-in your Microsoft Account Email to
http://account.live.com > Services & Subscriptions. The other is to contact the Xbox Support via:
support.xbox.com/.../contact-us. For this one, asking for a refund for the charges that you've had may not be possible because it's our sole responsibility as consumers of how we manage
the services we have subscribed to. Like third party services like cable subscription, regardless if we use the service or not, we're still responsible on paying the bills that the said service may take from us.

Its been over a month and the charges have not appeared in my bank account even though I got the email that its being refunded and will be there in 3-5 days.

You need to contact your bank or credit card company to block purchases made through the Microsoft Store or Minecraft.

Contact your bank or card issuer and ask them to reverse the amounts, it may not be possible to reverse all of them, at least the most recent one you can.

Same issue here. I'm being charged £13.59 even though I already had it for the 360. Any help with this would be great.
