    Account balance not available for purchases in store


    My son has £10:59 in his account, however when he tries to purchase items from the store it states he has insufficient funds the amount being available being that he had before he was given additional funds, 59p. If he signs into his brothers xbox the
    full amount is shown. Have tried reloading his profile but same issue. Any ideas?

    Please, in this case, try to purchase the games from a web browser and not from the console. You can also try making the purchase from a device or browser other than the first to see if the problem persists.

    If the problem persists then it is recommended that you wait at least 48 or 72 hours without trying to make any type of purchase with your account in case it is a temporary problem so that it is resolved automatically.

    How can I use my Microsoft Account Balance to purchase items?

    Tried to purchase FIFA points (89p) using £15 Account Balance, but account balance is not available for selection as a payment option, only my PayPal account.

    FEAR series Backwards compatibility/buying 360 games on series x

    Only FEAR 2 is available for purchase digitally. Either the others were delisted at one point or they were never made available digitally.

    It used to be you couldnt purchase backwards compatible games using your Microsoft account balance on the One store, but they have updated that so you can. So you should be able to purchase them on your Series X as long as they are available.

    Do virtual Microsoft gift cards still work on the Xbox 360?

    As long as the content is still available for purchase, yes that would work. The gift card would just add funds to your Microsoft account balance which can be used in the Xbox store on the 360, One, etc.

    Can purchase from XBOX, but not PC

    The store on xbox.com is the same as the store on the One. The One store has never been updated to work with the Microsoft account balance for purchases of 360 content. The only way to purchase 360 content with your balance is through the console itself.
