    I have changed my primary email on my main account and now when I try to log into that same account it keeps running me through the process of making a new account. I have tried to use the new email and old one but it brings me to the new account process every time. The account still shows my old email but i do not know if I need to wait a day or if there's any way to get into my old account.

    If you had an @outlook, @hotmail, or @live email and you've deleted it, it's not coming back.

    You can keep trying to see if it will let you add it back at some point but typically, once it's removed you can't add it back.

    Check to see if your work email address is still listed in the billing section. This link should help you get there. You will have to sign it a couple of different times. commerce.microsoft.com/.../Profile
    If it is still your work email address that is probably your problem and you can change it there.

    We understand that you are trying to sign into your account and is unable to because the account has been updated without the primary email. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

    To have a better understanding, we would like to clarify and confirm few things regarding your concern.

    1. Based on your description, you have a primary email on your main account for Microsoft and you have removed it. May we know if you have added a secondary email on that main account before removing the primary email?
    2. Does your primary email has outlook.com/hotmail.com/live.com/msn.com email domain? Please do not provide your complete email address.
    3. How about your secondary email, is the email domain - outlook.com/hotmail.com/live.com/msn.com? Please do not provide your complete email address.
    4. Have you tried to sign in to your account on different browser or device? Did you encounter same issue as what you have stated "The account still shows my old email but i do not know if I need to wait a day or if there's any way to get into my old account."
    With the absence of primary email you can have secondary email as credentials in signing in to your account for Microsoft and Xbox. However, if your primary email is being suggested as credentials for Microsoft login from a browser then that could be different if you use a different browser or on different device.
