    So basically I'm 18 but the account I have still says it's underage, and is still in a family with another account I have. I've tried to change my age manually from account.live.com, but it still says it's a child account. I've been trying to change my profile
    picture to a custom image but my account still says it's a child account. PLEASE HELP.

    It wont let me promote my account from a child account to an adult account. Could you help me?

    Account age

    Hey there, you will be unable to change the age of an account after it has been created. If you entered the incorrect info during the creation process you will need to wait until the account hits its 18th birthday based on the date you entered.

    Account Age

    Changing your age has no bearing on your account status you must wait till you are 18 no sooner no later so if it's August of this year or 5years from. Nowthat's when it changes

    Age change

    The age of the account is determined by what was put in when the account was created, not the age of the Microsoft account. You'll have to wait until the age of the account turns 18. There is no way to change the age.

    That's for age verification for using a Microsoft account. Changing the age of a Microsoft account does not change the age of an Xbox account.

    It's not possible to change the age if an Xbox account. The age is set by what you put in when you created your account, not the age on your Microsoft account. You will have to wait until the age of the account reaches 18.

    The age is set by what you enter when you create the account, not by the age on the Microsoft account. So changing Microsoft accounts will not change the age of the account.

    Apparently the age of my account is under 18, but it says that I'm over 18.

    no once set the age of an account can't be changed till the account turns 18

    Changing the age nor the email of the account affects the Xbox accounts age
