Account age too low to play Warframe Beta

Despite the fact that my age on my Microsoft account is above the age for M rated and unrated titles, I am unable to access the Warframe Beta. I contacted support and they told me to change the birthday on my microsoft account, and even after that it didn't
work. (I've since reset it to my actual birthday, 07/06/1996).

Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'm trying to record game footage for YouTube.

What determines if your "too young" or not is your ( Master EA ) account .

That you made when you played your first EA game online on XBL .

Once your birthdate on your EA account is made , it CANNOT BE CHANGED .

Therefore , whatever age you set it at , presumably accidentally .

Is too young to play on EA Online . ( 13+ Age Req . ) .

Many people have been having the same problem as you , either being too young to play the game according to EA's TOU or because they have set their age accidentally low when (s)he created their account with EA .

 

Child account stuff....Please respond

Your settings are probably on too strict - as my little brother was able to play with a child account on BF3 Beta and he's 10. Also, isn't 18 the age when your allowed to promote your account to adult? So you dont have to deal with this stuff..

From what I know when you create your Microsoft account the birthday that you enter when you sign up sticks with your account. When you made the account did you use or have a gamer tag under the age of 18 and are you now under under or over the age of 18.
If your over this is mostlikly a glitch but if not you will have to wait until your older than 18 to play mature content. I could be wrong but from my understanding and having past experience with the same problem this is all I can say. Good luck

When the account was created, it was actually under my mothers name (I was 13 at the time) and her birthday, which is in 1969, so unfortunately that isn't the case, Recooked. I appreciate the feedback though.

Also, as an addendum, mature games require you to be 17 to purchase and/or play them.

 

Think there's a few bugs with the beta at the moment so it may be worth trying again in a couple of days time.

It depends on what country your in age wise.You have to be 17,18 or 21 to access mature content.

 

I'm in the US. Even on game packaging you can see under the M in the ESRB that you need to be 17+ to purchase it.

 

Im having the same problem, accept im 18 but i accidently set my birthdate to 10/22/96. i need assistance if at all possible.

 

Had a look around & the age problem is a known problem which Crytec are looking into.

Afraid it's just a case of waiting for a fix.

 

So to answer the age restriction thing here is the real deal.

1) When you created your account long ago it is very possible that you used your real bdate on the console when u created the account on the console

2) Changing the bdate on the msft site (account.live.com) does not have any effect on ur issue period games and publishers and the xbox console goes off the bdate u put in long ago this bdate u cant see and neither can xbox support its one of those things
that is set in stone and cant be seen or changed period

3) Now what can u do about it well here ya go.

* You need to find out if u are a child account to do this go to settings from the dash not the guide... then system settings....privacy....then just change a setting u can always change it back but maybe change it to adult or if it is adult change to
custom any ways once u make a little change save and exit now IF u have a child account it will promt for parental account info this email will be different than the email u use for ur GT if it don't prompt u then u are a stand alone adult account which is
what u want

* So what happends if u get the parental stuff well easy if the bdate used shows that ur 18 then the xbox will know this and u can promote ur account (the xbox will not do it automatically like someone suggested) to see if u have this opt go to settings
from dash.....account.....account security. If u see opt that says promote account YAY u can promote urself just follow the steps if u don't see it and u were prompted with the parental stuff then well u will have to wait till what ever bdate u used shows
