    My Microsoft account is an adult account and over 18. However, whenever I try to change my gamerpic on my xbox it either tells me that I need to be older to do so or my account has to be an adult account which it already is.

    There is no way to promote a child account other than waiting for the birthdate on the account to reach 18+. If the age was under 18 you cannot use a custom gamerpic.

    change gamerpic under 18

    i made an xbox account when i was 10 and it is 7 years later and i would like to change my gamerpic but i cant because it says im not old enough i have tried to change my age and make account an adult but i still cant have a custom gamerpic i turn 18 soon
    do i have to wait or is there something i can do now?

    If the DOB on your account is under the age of 18 you will not be able to use a custom gamerpic. There is no way to circumvent this rule as the age on an Xbox account is permanent.

    It's not possible to use a custom gamerpic on a child account. You'll have to wait until the age of the account turns 18.

    Is the age on your account below 18? as you can not have a custom gamerpic if you have a child account. Also it can take a while for a custom gamerpic to show up. Try again and wait a little longer.

    Until the age of the account is 18 or over, they won't be able to use customized gamerpics. There are no settings that can be changed to allow that.
