Accidently redeemed xbox live subscription on mine not my son's account

It is not possible to undo this. You can place the account that has the subscription active as home in the console so that the child and other accounts have access to the subscription.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select System > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

Select "Make this my home Xbox to designate the console as your home Xbox."

Unfortunately, you can't transfer Gold memberships like that.

On the Xbox One the "Home Console" can share the Gold membership to other accounts on that very console, but the Xbox 360 console can't do that.

You need to either buy a separate Gold membership for your son via Prepaid Gold cards, or subscribe to the Gold membership with his account.

Xbox Live Gold is cross system compatible so whether you redeem it on pc, Xbox360 or Xbox One it will work on all 3. Did you make sure you redeemed it on your son's Gamertag ?

Let your son log in with his Microsoft account and then go to this link
account.microsoft.com/services It should tell you if you have an Xbox Live gold subscription. If it doesn't (when logged in with your son's account) then you redeemed it on the wrong profile.

so ive purchased the family pack i think ive added the 3 subscriptions but why on my sons accounts isn't it showing the live expiry date? but it is on mine?

Or the subscription was redeemed on the son's account.
