Accidentally turned off while applying update

Hi, My daughter accidentally turned off the console while it was applying an update. I could turn it back on and it seems to work okay. Is there a way to check if any harm was done or I will have to wait and see...? Thanks.

Stuck on green start up screen after frozen update

An update froze on me whilst applying. I left it 8ish hours and was still frozen. Turned off console and am now stuck on green start up screen. Help.

Xbox Update problem

Hi, I have an xbox one that i didnt use for a while and when i started it up it needed an update so i let it download and verify but it suddenly turned off when it finished verifying the update it turned off when it reached the applying update part, this
error happened to me multiple times now so can anyone help?

Hi sznnnjd,

Without turning the console on there is no way to know if the update took, did not take, or your console is damaged. I would go ahead and turn the console on. If it boots up then you may be prompted to continue the update or you may need to update it again.
If it gives you an error let us know and we can try to figure out how to get you fixed up.

In your post you say you can turn it on.

If you did and it boots fine then your console isn't damaged. Just re-apply the update and allow it to complete.

If you post referenced that you "could turn it on but haven't" then Hydro Skillet's answer is the way to go.

sznnnjd go into settings/system/console info you will see the latest update and if it was successful the latest update is 1503-150305-1449.

So you just turned off the system while still in the game? You could have accidentally turned it off while the game was saving. Which in almost all games it says "Do not turn the system off while saving".
