Accidentally redeemed COD:AW on my profile, was for my brother's son's profile.

So my brother purchased a COD:AW XB1 bundle for his son for Christmas, we are currently setting it up (i.e installing all the games and updates) now to do it stealthily I signed into my profile on the new xbox so his son wouldn't think anything was up since
I have an XB1 myself. The son is usually playing his 360, hence why I signed into my account. Anyways, we installed all the games and the last game we have to install is the digital copy of COD:AW, now without thinking I scratch and reveal the code and put
it in the XB1 and redeem it. I then cancel the downloading process since I already have the physical disc, so to speed up the process I was going to install from the disc instead of from the internet. After I cancel the download and reach for my physical disc
it hits me, I JUST REDEEMED THE CODE ON MY PROFILE! Crap, it was a complete accident and I feel terrible, is there anyway I can get the redeemed game taken off my account and added to my brother's son's account??

Accidentally redeemed a code for Halo: Master Chief Collection when I already owned it on Xbox.com

I accidentally redeemed a code for Halo: Master Chief Collection on my account when I already own it on Xbox.com. I intended to redeem it on my brother's account but I had 2 windows open and redeemed it on the wrong account. Is there anything you can do
to help me?

 

Sounds like a rough time. You should've installed from the disc and just given him the code to scratch and enter himself.

However, give phone support a call. They may be able to remove the license from your account and provide you with a code. If you live in North America dial 1-800-469-9269.

If that doesn't work then perhaps keep the game on your account and give him the game disc with an explanation as to what happened.

 

I tried calling them and they said they can't transfer the license to his account, so they told me just to keep my profile on his xbox and do game sharing for it. So that what I did, but I figured if he doesn't want to do that I'll just give him the disc.

I know I should've just installed from the disc right away but I wasn't thinking, I was just trying to do it as quick as possible.
