Accidentally recieved modded stats on Modern Warfare 2

First off thank you for taking the time to read this. Hi, I was playing modern warfare 2 a couple of months ago and I encountered a modded lobby that gives you max level max prestige. Following the code of conduct I immediately powered off my Xbox console
as soon as I reconized it was a modded lobby. I was extremely sad and dissapointed when I got back on modern warfare 2 and seen that powering off did not remove the modded stats.This has been the third time this has happened. I have been banned once for this
even when it was accidental. It has been a couple of months and the two modded accounts have not been banned. So to make sure that I didn't have a tainted profile, I created a new profile on xbox one. I absolutely love the Xbox one by the way. Anyways, I
closed down the microsoft accounts to the gamertags that this had happened to. ReReading the code of conduct, I learned that you may be banned for creating alternate accounts trying to escape suspension. My new account is now my only account except for this
one in which I use to post on the forums, so I dont know If my new account could be considered an alternate account. I am a honest follower of the code of conduct, so I hope The Enforcement Team realizes I did no intend for all this to happen. Did I do the
right thing by making a new account hoping to have a clean, legit account? I hope someone can finally give me some real answers, because I have had peace of mind in weeks over all this. I love Xbox way to much to lose my new account. Thank you so much.

Accidentally Got Into A Modded Lobby

Thank you, but I was mostly wondering if making a new account was the right step since unintentionally recieved modded stats on modern warfare 2.

 

My other XBL account has been perm banned.. I want to know why

Where did you pull Modded warfare 2 from ? I play Modern Warfare 2, and if I am in a modded lobby why would I get banned if I'm not hosting it ? I generally leave straight away because they bore me, nor do i want to be hacked to 10th prestige or have my
kills,deaths etc modded

 

No one that posts in this forum works or is affiliated with the enforcement team, so we wouldn't have a clue. We have no way of knowing if you accidentally modded your stats or if you did it on purpose. Basically, you'll just have to wait and see, and
it would probably be sound advice to not play MW2 in the future as it is a broken mess.

 

if it was accidental as you say then you should be fine, with regards to creating a new account then yes I think your ok there, you had your punishment, you lost everything associated with the old tag, move on but keep your slate clean.

 

The enforcement teams do indeed post in the forums, just only in the suspension and console bans part of the forums. It's only best to reach out to them if you were banned OP.

 

But I havent been banned on the account that this happened to a couple months ago. So I'm not sure if that account or my new one will be banned???

No, St Michel. Just on the one account that got banned a long time ago (oSiiW). The two other accounts that have modded stats are Very Cry and SiiW. I'm not entirely sure about SiiW but I know for a fact that Very Cry has modded stats. Very Cry hasn't been
banned and it has been a couple of months since I got into a modded lobby. The only thing I'm worried about is whether or not if Very Cry/SiiW gets banned will My new account Olde Al be banned if it is considered an alternate account to Very Cry or SiiW.

 

As long as you don't break the rules, you should be fine. I think MS knows how much of a mess MW2 is and this sort of thing can happen to many people without their consent. They will look into it and if they see no wrongdoing, you'll be fine.

 

Hey, thank you all for the help. I got it all sorted out by a Enforcement team member. I won't be banned as long as I am actively avoided users with mods, and they said if anyone was going to do anything it would be Infinity Ward resetting those stats. Go
Xbox.
