Accidentally put a towel on top of Xbox series x

I finally got a xBox series X. I live in a city where dust is very common, so I was somehow trippin and decided to put a small and thin towel on top of my xbox series x (on top of the fan). The xbox was "turned off". Soon I realized that the fan always runs no matter what. I left it for a half a day or so on top. Could something happen ? I took it off and played for a while, and everything seems normal.

The vents are there for a wind tunnel effect blocking either is not a good idea

The towel could affect the console if it's left there for a long time because it could result in an overheated console. However, since you have mentioned that the towel was thin and that it wasn't left there for long you should be good!

Also leaving the console to rest after this was definitely a brilliant idea!

I accidentally purchased shark cards for xbox series x instead of xbox one which im currently on is there a possibility of refund?

Update:

1) Disk drive works, turns out i was putting the cd in with the top facing to the right (same way i put it in my xbox one s) and the correct way for the series x is pointing left. Should have noticed it earlier but i was silly

2) As for the monitor, no idea what caused it but i'll stay on the weaker monitor since that one isnt crashing with the series x plugs in.

NO! Unlike some games that have an Xbox One version that will upgrade to the the S|X version if you put it in a series X, NBA2K for S|X is a complete different version than the Xbox One version and it will not work if you put the disc inside of an Xbox One. Xbox One cannon run a Series X game and putting a Series X disc inside an X1 will not install the X1 version.
