Accidentally purchasing two 1 month gold subscriptions

Does anyone know how I could get a refund on the second subscription, because I honestly don't have that much money in my account.

Hi,

Yes, there are local taxes when purchasing gold memberships and Xbox LIVE Gold points via the website or console. It doesn't look like EBGames in Canada has any sort of 1 month gold subscriptions. They seem to only sell 3 month, and 12 month membership cards,
and as for Microsoft Points they seem to only carry 1400 and 2800 for Canada.

How much have you spent on Xbox Live?

Ive only ever bought a 1 year subscription twice, but i have "earned" subscriptions multiple times through various promotions at work. Unfortunately, i also accidentally left my auto renew on and was billed monthly for about 5 months. Should have called and tried to get it converted to a year but i didnt think about it till after i had cancelled

Hi Sam,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question. When you convert to the Ultimate subscription, any Xbox live gold or game pass time you have converts to the Ultimate subscription. For example, if you had 1 month of Xbox live gold and no game pass. You
then purchased the Ultimate for $1. You will have two months of ultimate subscription.

The offer is only for 1 month, however it converts any remaining gold subscription. I think it is only up to 36 months. So you can purchase a gold subscription first and then convert the time using the 1 month offer. If you have Game Pass Ultimate then
any gold subscriptions you add will be converted based on something. I think you will get 2 months GPU for 3 months gold.

There's not a 12 month subscription for Ultimate. You can buy a 12 month prepaid card for Gold and then purchase 1 month of Ultimate (after adding the Gold) to convert it to Ultimate.

Xbox will allow you to purchase Gold multiple times. This is a feature called stacking. If you buy 1 Month Gold for $9.99, and then you again buy 1 Month Gold for $9.99, you will have paid a total of $19.98, and that will cover two months of Gold. You
can stack up to 36 months at a time. This also applies to store-bought prepaid cards, and a combination of paid subscriptions and prepaid cards. This does NOT, however, apply to those 48-hour trials and such that you receive with games.
